Remember, our on-campus gatherings have been suspended through March 29, but plan to join our livestream! Gatherings are still Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 9:15 & 11am. Catch the stream at https://wearetrinity.com/live or right here on Facebook. Be sure to login early to join the fun pre-Gathering conversation starting 15 minutes before each Gathering.

We’ll also participate in virtual communion early in the Gathering. Have some bread or crackers and juice or another beverage ready so we can remember Jesus’ sacrifice while unifying our Body when we can’t physically be together.

Spend time in family worship. Each week we’ll have the lesson content for preschool-6th grade for that week as if we had been together in person. We’ll include the Scripture passage, memory verse, questions, and a video (when possible). For elementary children, use content from the [email protected] booklets as we. Be creative! Use the material as a springboard for your own ideas. You know your kids and your family. Draw pictures. Act out Bible stories. Make up motions for the Bible verses. Have a worship song dance party!

Week of March 16

Fear has a way of shifting our thinking. It can move us from being thankful for what we have and anticipating what God wants to do in us, to focusing on our temporary discomforts and what we might lose. When we do this, fear trumps our faith!

Message from Pastor Marvin

From Pastor Marvin Williams:

I pray you are experiencing God’s grace in a fresh and unique way. With the world being impacted by the CoronaVirus crisis, I love what Barbara Brown Taylor said: “We do not lose control of our lives What we lose is the illusion that we were ever in control in the first place.” Because of the many unknown variables, many people, including people in our congregation are anxious and even fearful. I understand this is nothing like we have ever seen before in our generation. As the people of God, however, we will not be prisoners of fear. We will not be afraid, but we will trust God. God tells his people 365 times to “Fear not.” God had to say “Fear not” so many times to his people because he knew they would be afraid. Psalm 112:7 says that the righteous will not fear bad news They are confident and fearless. We are confident in God and we desire to be wise, listening to government and health officials, as well. With that said, here is some general, but important information of which you should be aware.

On-Campus Events and Weekend Gatherings

  • From now (3.12.2020) through Sunday, 3.29.2020, we will be cancelling ALL On-Campus Gatherings, Events, Programs and Activities that take place on Trinity’s campus.
  • We WILL be conducting all of our Gatherings ONLINE: Saturdays at 6:00pm and Sundays at 9:15 and 11:00am.
  • All other on-campus events including classes, communities, Student Ministry activities, etc., will be cancelled during this time.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Stay connected to your community and relationships, check in on people.
  • Stay home when you or a family member are sick.
  • Practice good hygiene.
  • If you or someone you know needs help, reach out to us, we are here for you.

Remember, when we are living under the righteous reign and rule of King Jesus, he desires us to bless our world. This is an opportunity for us to be good neighbors to those around us. May the Lord bless you and keep you, cause his face to shine upon you. The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Because the Tomb Is Empty,

Marvin Williams
Lead Pastor, Trinity Church
